We take every care to ensure that the car provided on your booking, is large enough to seat the number of people travelling.
However, dependent on the amount of luggage you are taking, you may wish to change this. The chart below shows the cars that we can book with a handy guide to how many the vehicle can seat and how much luggage you can fit.
Important Information regarding your Car Rental
Your Car includes the necessary cover, however the depot may suggest additional cover which can be purchased at your discretion, Please make sure that you check your rental agreement before signing so that you are aware of any additional items which will be charged. *We will not be able to claim a refund where additional items have been agreed.
The main driver (as shown on your USAirtours Booking Confirmation / Itinerary) will be required to provide their driving license as well as a Credit Card – please note DEBIT CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
If you are returning your car to a different depot from where you collect the car, you will be charged a one way drop fee, Details of this fee will be shown on your USAirtours Booking Confirmation.
Drivers must be over 21 years of age and there is a supplement for drivers who are under 25.
Many cars will automatically feature Satellite Navigation, however this is not guaranteed, Sat Nav can be added for a fee, alternatively you may wish to use a smart phone application *data charges may apply.
To avoid any additional daily charges, please ensure that your vehicle is returned by the time specified on your confirmation, please allow for possible delays at the depot or for traffic.

Rental Car Insurance
We always recommend that customers pre-purchase the Gold/All inclusive insurance option when booking their car rental with us.
This level of insurance provides sufficient cover in the event of an accident and mechanical breakdown. The level of car rental insurance is the most popular for customers and is considerably less expensive to pre-purchase in the UK than purchasing the same level of cover overseas.
The Gold/inclusive cover with Hertz provides comprehensive cover that includes:
- Unlimited mileage
- Collision Damage waiver (CDW)
- Airport fees, state and local surcharges
- $1 million liability cover
- Additional driver charge for up to 3 drivers
- 1 tank of fuel.
When the rental car is collected, customers may well be offered optional additional or top up insurance policies by the rental clerk. These usually cover the costs relating to items caused by the driver such as lost keys, replacing a dead battery caused by leaving the lights on, providing replacement petrol at the roadside etc.
Please note that any additional insurances offered by the car rental company are optional and not mandatory. The Gold/all inclusive cover that we offer provides a satisfactory level of cover. However If you do wish to purchase any additional cover when you sign the rental documents when collecting the vehicle, please ask the clerk for a full explanation as any cover sold is strictly non refundable.
