Itinerary in detail

Day 1: Victoria
Having arrived at your downtown Victoria hotel, take the rest of the day to explore British Columbia’s capital city.
Day 2: Victoria
Today, you embark on a fascinating wildlife viewing adventure aboard a fast-moving Zodiac rigid boat, where a certified marine biologist provides insight into the environment and habits of marine life such as orca, minke and grey whales.
Day 3: Victoria – Tofino (320 Km/200 miles)
A panorama of scenic beauty unfolds before you, travelling through the ancient rainforests, deserted beaches and wilderness of Pacific Rim National Park, where wildlife awaits around every corner and your camera will rarely be out of your hand.
Day 4: Tofino
Today you board a Zodiac boat to take an enthralling bear watching excursion and speed along the lush coastline to the bears’ feeding grounds. Back on dry land, you’re free to explore the rugged coastline along the network of hiking trails.
Day 5: Tofino – Sonora Resort (290 km/180 miles)
You will wind along the eastern coast of Vancouver Island today, passing the native rock carvings at Sproat Lake and the picturesque Little Qualicum Falls. On arrival in Campbell River, you board a water taxi for the short boat ride to the stunning Sonora Resort.
Day 6: Sonora Resort
Take one of two thrilling nature adventures from your resort. The Econature Tour, which operates 1st May-26th August, features a fascinating guided tour of the surrounding wilderness, whilst Bear watching by Boat, from 27th August-11th October, journeys to the prime feeding and gathering areas of the mighty grizzly bear. In the evening, settle in and enjoy the comfort and facilities of your West Coast resort hotel.
Day 7: Sonora Resort – Vancouver (290 km/180 miles)
Ferry back to Campbell River then continue your drive south along the eastern shores of Vancouver Island through small seaside towns. On arrival in Nanaimo, you board the ferry and sail across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver, where the rest of the day is free.
Day 8: Vancouver
Today is yours to explore this vibrant cosmopolitan city, where boutique shops line Robson Street, forested trails and an enchanting zoo lie within Stanley Park and the Capilano Suspension Bridge invites you to walk its 140-metre span.
Day 9: Vancouver
Before you head home or continue your onward journey, there may be some time for last-minute shopping before leaving beautiful British Columbia.
