Itinerary in detail

Day 1: Atlanta – Birmingham
Arrive in Atlanta and travel to Birmingham, Alabama, known as the "Dinner Table of the South". From America's best barbecue to Southern-influenced global dishes from James Beard Award-winning chefs, Birmingham's dining scene is one to relish. The city has four entertainment districts in the downtown area – Uptown, Five Points South, Avondale and Pepper Place – with restaurants, bars, and music halls. Also, downtown is a network of parks, including the 10-city block CityWalk. As Alabama's largest city, there is plenty to see and do.
Day 2: Birmingham
Full day to enjoy all that Birmingham has to offer when you include this area's All-In-One attraction ticket (optional). More than 10 attractions included including the world's largest motorcycle collection, an aircraft museum, a railway museum, the Birmingham Zoo, Alabama's largest state park, and five downtown Birmingham attractions including US Civil Rights sites, a science centre and the largest cast iron statue in the world, Vulcan.
Day 3: Birmingham – Memphis
Enjoy the musical city of Memphis and explore the birthplace of the blues. Start with a visit to Graceland, home of the late Elvis Presley, then choose between the Rock & Soul Museum, the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, the Gibson Guitar Factory or Sun Studio, where musicians such as BB King, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis recorded their rock 'n' roll hits.
Day 4: Memphis
Dive deeper into the birthplace of the blues by taking in a performance in one of the entertaining Beale Street blues bars.
Day 5: Memphis – Tupelo – Muscle Shoals
Travel to Tupelo, Mississippi for a day trip to see the birthplace of Elvis Presley. The most significant landmark of Tupelo's modern history is a modest, two-room house where the King of rock 'n' roll was born. From his humble beginnings, Elvis Presley began his swift rise to become the world's most popular entertainer. The home is a Mississippi landmark and the centrepiece of the park that also includes, among many other exhibits, the popular photo-op "Elvis at 13" statue and Elvis's childhood church. Travel to Muscle Shoals.
Day 6: Muscle Shoals
Nashville and Memphis are known for their contribution to America's music. But today you will discover a magical place formed by four small adjacent Alabama cities. Florence, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia and Sheffield make up the area known as the "Hit Recording Capital of the World" and is the place where the Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin and others came to record their hit records. It's also where the Father of the Blues, WC Handy, was born and where Native Americans said the river sang. Tour the famous Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, see WC Handy's log cabin birthplace, visit the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, see Helen Keller's home, visit an Indian mound and tour the only Frank Lloyd Wright home open to the public in the Southeastern USA. Those attractions and more are included in this area's All-In-One attraction ticket package (optional).
Day 7: Muscle Shoals – Nashville
Travel to Nashville, often called "Music City USA", where you can tour Music Row and visit historic RCA Studio B and the Country Music Hall of Fame. In the evening, visit some of the intimate clubs in town, including the Listening Room Cafe and the famous Bluebird Cafe.
Day 8: Nashville
Soak up the sounds in the country music capital by visiting the Grand Ole Opry. Experience the South's tumultuous history at the Tennessee State Museum. Take a full day to discover the variety of attractions Nashville has to offer, such as Opryland USA and the world-famous Printer's Alley.
Day 9: Nashville – Lynchburg – Huntsville
Travel to Lynchburg, Tennessee where small town values and perfect Americana living are alive and well. It might be small, but it's home to one large industry – the Jack Daniels Distillery, listed as the oldest registered distillery in the United States and which averages more than 250,000 visitors every year. Every ounce of Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey is produced here, fed by the pure, iron-free cave water springs nearby. Travel to Huntsville.
Day 10: Huntsville
Explore Huntsville, nicknamed "Rocket City" for its role in US space missions. Huntsville's close proximity to Nashville has allowed it to become the live music centre for the area that includes local music halls and a Roman-style amphitheatre called the Orion. This vibrant southern city is full of rocket scientists and brewpubs. Four of the 10 attractions on the Huntsville and North Alabama All-In-One Ticket package (optional) are located in the city of Huntsville: the US Space & Rocket Centre (the world's largest space museum), Huntsville Botanical Garden, Buritt On The Mountain and Early Works Children's Museum. If you only visit those four attractions, the ticket is great value, but you can also choose from any or all of the other attractions in North Alabama, including a tiger preserve, two state parks with caves, the museum to Olympic winner Jesse Owens and more.
Day 11: Huntsville – Atlanta
Travel to Atlanta and overnight there. While in the South's gateway city, visit the world's largest aquarium, the Georgia Aquarium, and the World of Coca-Cola among other attractions.
Day 12: Atlanta
Enjoy a full day in Atlanta, which started as a railroad junction in the early 1800s and quickly became the transport hub of the South. Its strategic importance was a large part of the reason it made such an inviting target for General Sherman's Union Army. Visit Fairlie-Poplar, the African American Panoramic Experience, Grant Park or the Atlanta History Centre.
Day 13: Atlanta
