Description

The newest addition to the Royal Caribbean fleet, The Harmony of the Seas will join her Oasis class sister ships as the largest cruise ship currently at sea. Measuring 227,700 gross tons and spanning 16 decks, the 5,400 passenger Harmony of the Seas is packed with an extensive range of amenities and attractions. There’s plenty of daytime and evening entertainment on hand, including the tallest and probably the scariest slide at sea: “The Ultimate Abyss” When it’s time to rest there’s a fantastic range of modern suites and cabins available. All in all an amazing experience.
 
Harmony of the Seas features the neighbourhood concept that was first introduced on the Oasis of the Seas. Take a stroll through Central Park where you’ll find brand name duty free shopping and dining, including Chops Grille and Jamie’s Italian, you can also share a glass of wine with that someone special at Vintages, the ships wine bar. You’ll love Harmony’s Coney Island themed Boardwalk, where you can experience all the fun of the carnival with a handcrafted carousel and classic games such as ring toss and skeeball. There’s also the Aquatheatre, where you’ll be able to watch dare devil high dive shows into the deepest pool at sea.
 
If you need to unwind and relax then the Asian inspired Vitality at Sea Spa situated is the perfect place. Cruisers looking to keep in shape will enjoy the superbly appointed Fitness Centre where they will find all the latest equipment as well as a range of organised exercise classes. Alternatively runners can take advantage of the full ship jogging circuit situated on Deck 5.
 
Kids will love the Harmony of the Seas with an entire neighbourhood “Kid’s Avenue” dedicated to kids and teens. Situated on deck 14 Kid’s Avenue is a central boulevard that will connect children with dedicated spaces for the Adventure Ocean Program. Kids can choose e from a variety of themed play areas including Adventure Art, Adventure Science Lab, and Adventure Ocean Theatre. There’s also the Babies and Tots Nursery offering supervised care for younger children. A focal point for teens will be situated at the back of Deck 15 and will include a video arcade, the teen dance club and a teen only hangout called the Living Room.
 
There’s plenty of adrenaline filled fun for everyone at the Pool and Sports Zone, including rock climbing, a zip line ride, the Flo-rider surf simulator, and gigantic waterslides that twist and turn over Central Park. There’s also the tallest slide at sea, the 10 storey high Ultimate Abyss. Harmony of the Seas is the first ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet to include Splashaway Bay, an interactive aqua park for kids that features sea creature water cannons, waterslides, a multi-level jungle gym and a gigantic drench bucket. There are three pools to choose from on Deck 15 for cruisers who love to swim and play in the water, and if you’re looking to get chill time then there’s also a quiet, adults only area, The Solarium, with a fresh water pool and fantastic sea views.
 
The Entertainment Place is where you’ll find music, fun and Broadway themed Productions, including the world premiere of Grease based around the iconic John Travolta/ Olivia Newton movie. Other options include live stand-up comedy, karaoke in the On Air Club, music and dancing in Dazzles and the “Let’s Celebrate Promenade Parade” an all-encompassing party themed around Halloween, Valetines day, The Fourth of July, St Patricks day and New Years Eve. Whilst at Sea the Vegas themed Casino Royal allows cruisers to try their luck at Poker, Blackjack, Slots and Roulette.
 
Harmony’s eighteen dining options consist of a mix of casual venues, comfortable eateries and upmarket restaurants. For a traditional style dining guests can select the Classic Dinning option, offering two set seating times, dining with their group and favourite waiter every evening. As well as the Main Dining room complimentary options include Sorrento’s Pizzeria, Boardwalk Doghouse, Windjammer Marketplace, Solarium Bistro and the Vitality Café situated on deck 6

Harmony also boasts an exciting range of speciality restaurants including Johnny Rockets serving hamburgers, fries and classic ice cream shake. The Chops Grille is the Royal Caribbean’s signature steakhouse offering traditional filet mignon, lamb chops and New York Strip. Wonderland , the Alice and Wonderland themed restaurant situated on decks 11 and 12 will appeal to fans of molecular gastronomy, where diners choose from six exciting themes Sun, Sea, Ice, Earth, Fire and Dreams. 150 Central Park is Harmony’s most exclusive restaurant, featuring menus by James Beard award winning chef Michael Schwartz, whose commitment to sustainable, seasonal food provides an incredible “farm to table” experience. Harmony offers plenty of choice when it comes to Bars and Lounges with 20 spread throughout the ship. There’s lively music and a dance floor in in Boleros , a Latin themed lounge located on the Promenade where cruisers can choose from a dazzling array of cocktails, including mojitos, mudslides and pina coladas. Visit The Rising Tide Bar and be amazed as it ascends and descends over three decks from the Promenade to Central Park. A visit to the Bionic Bar is a must, watch in amazement as Makr Shakr the bionic barman mixes your favourite cocktails to perfection. Outside there’s the Pool Bar, Sand Bar and the aptly named Wipe Out Bar situated between the ship’s two Flowriders.
 
You may be in the middle of the ocean but with VOOM technology, the fastest internet at sea you’ll be well connected, allowing you stream your holiday videos, and chat to family and friends back home. Harmony also features RFID ready to wear wrist bands and the Royal IQ app that allow you to make on board purchases, manage your dining and entertainment options, as well as providing you with an up to the minute calendar of on board activities.
 
After all the excitement and fun it’s back to the well-appointed cabin or suite with flat-screen TV’s, mini bar or fridges, and hair dryer. Highlights of the cabin types available are the 15 studio cabins designed for solo travellers and the 76 inside cabins with virtual balconies streaming real time footage from deck to cabin. Treat yourself to a balcony cabin, choose from Standard Ocean View, Boardwalk View or Central Park View. Upgrade to a Suite for a special experience with access to a private sun deck, lounge and bar on deck 17, and admission to the suites-only Coastal Kitchen restaurant (does not apply to Junior Suites).
